Help with medical screening
For families applying for disability cards, a hospital assessment is one step. The team accompanied three people through that appointment.
An appointment with a purpose
On 13 August 2026, CVID-CAM accompanied beneficiaries to the Regional Hospital Bamenda for medical screening connected to disability-card applications. The purpose was to obtain the medical assessment and documentation required for the next steps.
Three attended; one needs follow-up
Four people were scheduled for the appointment; three attended with support from the CVID-CAM team and parents or guardians. One person was absent. The team helped those attending navigate the screening process.
A step in an ongoing process
The report records screening, rather than completed card issuance. CVID-CAM planned to follow up with the beneficiary who could not attend and help facilitate the remaining process. Families can contact the team to ask about current guidance and support.
