Following up on poultry support

On 7 September, four of the seven participants in the CDENO project attended a meeting at our office. Three were absent. We discussed progress and difficulties in their activities. Attendance at this meeting describes the group present that day; it is not a measure of the project’s success.

Reporting and preparing future work

We prepared an implementation report for a separate Bamenda City Council-supported project involving five participants, including people pursuing small businesses other than poultry. We also developed proposals and appeal letters. The record keeps the CDENO and City Council projects distinct and does not establish long-term income changes for either group.

7 September: poultry follow-up

Four of the seven people supported through CDENO attended a meeting at CVID-Cam’s office on 7 September. Three were absent. The coordinator invited discussion of progress and difficulties and offered encouragement for continuing the activities. Attendance at this meeting does not represent four additional recipients.

A separate implementation report was prepared for Bamenda City Council on its five-person poultry and small-business initiative. The September source makes clear that two people in that group had support for other petty businesses. Keeping the projects separate prevents the same activity being described under the wrong partner.

The office, visitors and year-end preparations

A visitor interviewed the coordinator about the organisation’s mission and work and contributed a ring light and phone accessories. On 18 September, Rev. Tewang Nancy from Presbyterian Church Musang led a dedication gathering in the new office. The coordinator, financial secretary and office secretary were present for songs, a reading, prayer and discussion.

Proposals were prepared concerning widows’ activities, girls’ empowerment, schooling and parents’ livelihoods. Appeal letters sought support for the coming Christmas event. These requests explain the preparation for future work. They do not establish that every proposed project received funding.
