Participation and inclusion
After a preparatory meeting on 2 December, we joined the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on 3 December in Bamenda. Participants presented a fashion parade, an exhibition and a sketch about barriers faced when seeking hospital care. Our record also describes a member attending peer-education training later that month.
Seasonal support and poultry training
We held our third Christmas event on 16 December, with contributions from friends and supporters. The month’s poultry training covered housing, feeding, bird health, record keeping and marketing. The North West Regional Assembly supported this project. The training describes preparation for an activity; the February 2024 monitoring records provide later observations.
Rehearsing and participating on 2–3 December
A preparatory gathering at the office on 2 December rehearsed a hospital sketch, fashion parade and exhibition for the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The coordinator explained the day’s theme and the arrangements for travelling to Upstation.
At the public celebration on 3 December, CVID-Cam’s group contributed these presentations. The programme included songs, dance, a poem, talks on inclusion and rights, and distribution of disability cards to some participants. The record lists two members, eight participants, relatives, a sign-language interpreter and the office assistant accompanying the group. The office rehearsal and public celebration are separate occasions, so a rehearsal photograph must keep its correct caption.

Ask about reuseThe third Christmas event
On 16 December, the third Christmas event took place at the Musang office. Singing, an opening prayer and a meditation led by Rev. Nancy began the gathering. Items prepared for distribution were blessed. The coordinator welcomed everyone and thanked friends and supporters for their contributions.
The programme included a white-cane presentation, information about registration and an announcement concerning the Regional Assembly-supported poultry project. Prepared items were distributed. The account records appreciation at the event, without an attendance register or a complete item inventory in this passage.
Training and the year’s final activities
A member attended a Social Affairs peer-education workshop on 7–9 December. Later in the month, CVID-Cam organised poultry training supported by the Regional Assembly. The December account gives 27 December, while a later monitoring report gives 29 December. We retain December 2023 when linking these records.
The programme covered preparing housing, raising birds from three weeks to table size, feeding, common health risks, farm records and marketing. A livestock technician, an accountant and another facilitator contributed sessions and answered questions. The coordinator closed by asking participants to care for their initial stock. February 2024 records return to this cohort and describe feed costs, bird losses and plans for another cycle.
